Two friends got an acoustic gig at Oceanfest, they asked the promoter, “If we can find a band in 2 months, can we upgrade our set?”. Fastforward, and ‘Heartwood’ is playing its first ever live set, at a festival of all places!

This band has taken all the storytelling and meaning from Folk songs, weaving it into the passion and energy of Rock. We’d like to introduce ourselves to you! Leading the vocals is Martin Barnes, with Alex Terry on Bass, Ben Forbes on Lead Guitar, and James Blofeld on Drums. Despite our diverse musical tastes, we all share a profound love for Rock in its myriad forms. Ranging from Heavy Metal to heart-wrenching ballads, we strive to infuse elements of our eclectic preferences into our own emotionally charged and powerful songs.
